This is the day a meeting was held at Porangahau. Hori Pouri stood up to present a bundle of sticks and said, "Listen, all the people in this house, let someone from among you come forward to break this bundle of sticks." Then Ratima came forward to break it but could not break that bundle. Hori said, "The meaning of this bundle is to be a precedent for us on this day, that we should be as one in custom and one in faith on that day." That's enough of my explanation on this matter.
